I was just passing by (15/12/11) and sadly noticed the obituary for Ron. I knew Ron and the family when I was under his care in Chelmsford between the years 1976-79. If Doreen, Neil and Ian come by here I would just like to pass on my condolences to you. I would also like to add a 'big thank you' for Ron's life and the memories which he has left both me and those who knew him whilst at 48.

I was in Chignall Road a few weeks ago and saw that 48 was closed and all boarded up. Another chapter of life closed but i hope all those whom i knew there life will continue to florish for you all not least Doreen, neil and Ian.

God bless you all.

Uncle Ron was a great man, a salt of the earth Yorkshire man.
I had the pleasure to be taken under his wing at a hard and troubled time in my life. Ron helped me to change from boy to man and mould me into what I am today.
For which I thank him for and he will be missed.
my condolences to Auntie Doreen, Neil, Ian and family.
With Love
Terry Jones.
