Kenton MajorMORRICEMORRICE (Kenton). Major G. L. Morrice M.B.E. 32 years 15/ 19th Hussars. 15 years C.E.O. Northumbria Army Cadets. Les, aged 84 years, died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Tuesday 14th January 2014 after a short illness, dearly loved husband of Jean (nee Johnson), beloved dad of Colin, Patricia, Lynn, Leslie, Keith and their partners, a proud and much loved grandad and great grandad. A private family cremation will take place, followed by a Thanksgiving Service at the Church of the Ascension, Creighton Avenue, Kenton, NE3 4UN on Wednesday 22nd January at 1.45pm. Family flowers only, donations if desired can be made at the service in aid of the Macmillan Nurses. Old Soldiers never die, they only fade away.
