Irene Marina "Rene"STANDLICK (Nee Watkins)STANDLICK Irene Marina "Rene" Nee Watkins Sadly passed away after a short illness on 5th May 2019 aged 84 years. Very loving and devoted wife of Ray (deceased), wonderful mum of Mike, Liz, Bob, Jan, Clive, Cath, Nicola, Mark, Darren, Natalie, Lizzy & Richard. Treasured Grandmother to her 16 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild. Respected and loved by all her extended family and friends. Mum we are what we are because of you, we will always love and miss you. Funeral service at St Nicholas & Faith Church Saltash on 20th May at 11:30 followed by a private cremation. Family flowers only. Donations if desired made payable to Down Syndrome Support Group (Cornwall) may be sent to Pengelly Funeral Service, 139 Fore Street, SALTASH PL12 6AB

So very sad and sorry to hear of the loss of Rene. I met this wonderful lady back in the 1990s when she worked at Woodlands School for disabled children. Rene looked after my son Ryan as if he were one of her own until his death in 1997. We kept in touch by letter and Christmas card since then. I will never forget her kindness. My sincerest condolences to her dearly loved family. She was so proud of you all. Donna xxxxxxx
