John Stokes
To our Beloved Mam and Dad John and Violet Stokes. Dad served in the Royal Navy from before WW2 to just after. Mam served in WW2 in the WAAF in Bomber command until she and Dad had me in 1942. Dad saw all theatres of the war and was awarded The Humane Society's Award for diving into the sea on a pitch black night from a dockside to save an Allied serviceman who had fallen in. They are both sadly missed by their Children John, Cyril and Carol and their many grandchildren.
