There was a funny story my Dad told me, when he was about twelve years old, he sent off for a autographed picture of the actor Alan Ladd (classic western "Shane" amongst others). The picture turned up from Hollywood months later and he put it on the mantelpiece. His younger brother Billy came downstairs and asked who it was and Eliza, my grandmother winked at my Dad and said that's your uncle! Dad said they never told him who it really was!....😂🎬🏇
