Pete

My dearest Pete, it has been so hard over the past few weeks to cope without you but it has been so inspiring to see what an inpact you have made in so short a life. The boys miss you so much but i know they will make you proud and you will be looking after them. Thank you for being such a wonderful caring husband and friend. You worked so hard to achieve your goals in life and it is so cruel that you have been taken when you had so much more to give.

I hope you are at peace and the only comfort i can take is that you are free from pain.

God bless you my darling Pete you are forever in my heart and thoughts

One of the good guys

So sorry to hear of Pete’s passing. My thoughts are with his family at this time, his wife and his children, and with Maureen and PJ and his three brothers.

Many fond memories of great craic with Pete in Birmingham and Ireland. Growing up as teenagers and learning what we thought was all there was to learn, and that mad summer hitch hiking around Ireland, visiting his cousins in Dublin and Strokestown, a taxi from Longford to an anti nuclear music festival in Carnsore Point, getting stranded for three days in Kinnegad and pitching our tent on my aunt’s front lawn rather than taking the beds on offer – still the talk of Cloonfad!

Rest in peace Pete, you were one of the good guys.

Prayer for Uncle Peter

Dear God,

You make life seem so cruel by taking people away from there loved ones; but then you take them into a new life, a new family and a new home, so that when there loved ones come to their new life thay shall be together again, like my uncle Peter shall be joined by his family later in his new life with you; but please keep Peter safe and welcome him into Heaven.

Amen

May he rest in peace
