Hi grandad,
I ran the 10k Race for Life in your memory a couple of weeks ago.
I had a t-shirt with your name and face on it which I ran in.
I really wanted you to have the medal I received for completing the race! Instead i'll keep it with the one that hung by your bed.
I think about you a lot, remembering when Darren and I used to come and play with the spud guns in the garden, how you'd offer us a sandwich with cheese as the filling every time, how you would go in your pocket to give us some pocket money before we left.
I struggled to understand you when I was younger, always looking to dad to translate. When I look back and reminisce, i can hear you talking in your 'funny' accent.
People often ask what my tattoo says, and I tell then proudly it's Christodoulou in Greek for you.
