I have just returned to the UK to hear of the sad loss of Reg Varney last month. Jeanne please accept my condolences, you may remember me as one of your class mates at the Convent - you were always so proud of your father, and rightly so. A good man.

We were really sad to hear of the news of reg varney, he was a true star, and a brilliant actor, i remember watching on the buses when i was little and even went to the cinema to see one or two of them, they dont make programmes like that now more's the pity. in fact i am watching one of the films as i write this tribute, there are 3 on today back to back and i am enjoying them every bit as much as i did the first time i saw them. anyway we send all our sympathy and best wishes to the family of reg at this very sad time, i am sure he is smiling that cheeky smile up above us all, sandra and family.x x

I was lucky enough to grow up watching the original series of On the Buses and remember reading the comic strip in the look - in magazine.

On the Buses was a great example from the golden age of sit coms, great show down to Reg and the rest of the cast.
