I am 41 years old now and remember well as a child watching On the buses with my Mum and Dad and crying with laughter, I think why it was popular was due to eh fact that it reflected real life at the time and you can imagine knowing people similar to the Characters such as the Butlers, Jack, Blake and lets not forget Olive(god love her) in your life., Superb!.. Yet Again British Comedy at its best, rest well Reg be comforted to know you gave so much enjoyment and laughter so millions of people and even to this day with all new audiences buying the DVD or cable re-runs which will go on and on !. I grew up watching Reg Varney on television through the years and became a great fan. I am so sorry to hear that he has passed on but I for one will always remember this great comedy actor. On the buses was one of the best comedy programmes of all time and my box set of the series is one of the greatest things that I own. Thank you Reg and god bless you.

To a great star of the 60s and 70s, There will never be an actor in the class of Reg Varney and a great family member. Will be sadly missed from all ages. U will always make people laugh dead or alive. R.I.P
