Yet again we have lost a wonderful character not only from screen and stage but also from life itself. I have loads of fond memories of this well talented man that I can also cherish at home with videos and dvds. Wherever he is now I'm sure he's enjoying some comic situation or two !!!!. Thank you Reg Varney for brightening up my life, and sincere wishes to all your family.

We love you Butler!!
Fond memories of a great sitcom, I have just replaced all of the videos with dvds and watch them over and over.
We will really miss you Reg, I met you and Stephen Lewis at the bus and coach show in Birmingham a few years ago, had a great time and you were both really nice and friendly.
God bless you and RIP, we will never forget you.

Really sad to hear that Reg has passed away. So many fond memories of Reg in 'On the Buses' and still has me laughing years later. My 20 yr son & 21 yr daughter love Reg Varney and his fellow bus crew. Reg epitomised the comedy world and he still ranks highly today among the dross that exists. Rest in peace Reg, u will be very sadly missed.

Reg Varney was an icon of my early youth and I have very fond memories of On The Buses and especially Reg and his friend playing up Blakey, the Inspector.

Its a shame that talent of his sort cannot continue for ever but if it did Im sure that it would not be so special.

Thank you Reg for adding laughter to my life god bless.

So very very sorry to hear Reg has passed away.I have all the On the buses including the On the buses films, also the Rag trade series. I have read one of his books on his childhood which was very funny in parts and sad in some parts.
Losing Reg is like losing a family member, he made my family and myself laugh our heads off with his antics, we are going to miss him very much. A short while ago i wrote to Reg, he sent a lovely reply with a signed photo which made my day. God bless you Reg and may he keep you in his care.
