Well where do we start? Staaaan, Staaaan, Staaaan!!!. I can here mum calling you. We have all of the "on the buses" dvd's and thoroughly enjoy watching them over and over again. Such great characters, everyone can relate each character to someone they know, pretty much like the modern day The Simpsons. Our children aged 15, 12 and 7 watch and love "on the buses" as much as me. Stan has always been all of our family's favourite character except for our 7 year old son, who is an avid "Blakey" fan i'm afraid, "Ooooh i ate you Butler" Myself and my partner were brought up with the show and we are sure that it will be passed down for many generations to come. It certainly will in our house! Reg will be sadly missed by people from all walks of life, and often brought many tears of laughter to our home. Thanks for that! He will also be a great loss to British television. RIP Reg aka Staaaan. Mandy Smith. NOTTINGHAM.

I met Reg Varney only once at a Pro-Celebrity golf tournament in the mid 1970's, when I was still a primary school child. Reg smiled broadly as I asked him to sign my autograph book, it was clear he did not have an inflated ego, and showed he had far more time for the public than many of the other celebrities and golf professionals who had appeared that day.

Although it was my one and only encounter with Reg, he left an indellible memory. May his soul rest in peace.

We in California have just began having the ability to see some of these British stars in shows you have had for decades, it is a shame to lose them just when we get access to their work! Wonderful Actor!!!
Thank You! You will live on in your art.
