Such sad news..the demise of one of our best home-grown actor/comedian/ performers. I so much enjoyed him in the hilariously politically incorect, On the buses and thought that Reg played the part of the cheeky, work- shy and chauvanistic Stan Butler brilliantly. Also lets not forget that he was a multitalented stage performer and a brilliant pianist. Not bad for a true East Ender!

Thanks Reg

Uncannily, while we were out on one of our four old ex London buses today, we were talking about Reg Varney.

You finally arrived at the "Cemetery Gates" on your route 11 and got one over on Blakey, Stan.

Thanks for lots of laughs. RIP Reg.
