Reg Varney was an actor of hidden talents,.....enough said.
Yet another of my all time favourite actors has been taken to that huge star studded stage in heaven. You will be loved by all there and sadly missed by all of us here. You were a unique actor and could easily make people laugh just with expressions alone and without being vulgar or obscene, an art that a lot of comedians lack in this present day. Hopefully you'll bump into Jack and Arthur and this time it really will be at the 'Cemetery Gates' God bless Reg, you will be sadly missed, make em smile up there and try to get that bus out on time!! Good night
Your larger than life personality kept us entertained for many years and I hope that you Rest in Peace.

A statue of you should be put outside the Cemetry Gates in Enfield.
You were one of the best actors around and you'll be sadly missed. RIP BUTLER. Paul...
I am 41 years old now and remember well as a child watching On the buses with my Mum and Dad and crying with laughter, I think why it was popular was due to eh fact that it reflected real life at the time and you can imagine knowing people similar to the Characters such as the Butlers, Jack, Blake and lets not forget Olive(god love her) in your life., Superb!.. Yet Again British Comedy at its best, rest well Reg be comforted to know you gave so much enjoyment and laughter so millions of people and even to this day with all new audiences buying the DVD or cable re-runs which will go on and on !. Peace and Love respect and eternal rest!...Archie
