"Better to burn out than to fade away". I will always remember Dave from the early 80's when my late husband Geoff and I used to hang out at the Fishponds pubs with Siobhan, Megan, Steedsy, Mitch, Ian, Kev and the followers of 'Colonel Kilgors'. I have fond memories of those times and Dave. The last time I saw him was in 2005 at the Prom on Gloucester Road and after all the years between he still took the time to come up to me and say how sorry he was to hear about Geoff, but he told me life goes on and hold on to the good memories which I have.....sending my love and sympathy to all of his friends and family. Dave, you were a great man and an inspiration.
Tales will always be told of you Dave, and your memory will never fade. Just like your Ink.
It's a shame I never had the chance to get buzzed by you, but just seeing some of your art and the sheer devotion you put to those pieces, will inspire me forever.

R.I.P. Dave, us Blake's will surely miss you x

My thoughts go to Anna, Charlie, Daisy, Rosie, Ollie, Ozz and the rest of Dave's family.

Once met you could never forget !
From the first time he set foot in the Fleur all those years ago, the days with the Swamp Toads, and the Meteors, such a crack.
I will allways remember your chuckle mate .

All our sympathy to his family and Ozzy,

The endearing ring of 'Where's the beardy b*****d' will be a phrase I'll now miss when I pick up the phone on a Saturday, not knowing who it would be, but always knowing it was you from that phrase alone. Was proud to have you as one of our Saintly gang members Dave and the short amount of time we spent together over the years will always bring a smile. The world is a sadder place without you in it. Special thoughts go to your family and friends. x

RIP Dave- you'll never be forgotten, you massive gurt psychonutter.Big loud laughter, big loud tattooing, big loud drinking, & big loud belches. I'll never forget seeing you outline a backpiece in 4 minutes, shortly after dropping yr guts due to a six egg omelette, and all the excitement I used to get at the shows when yr crew turned up with big new stuff- tattoos bigger than the great wall of China and brighter than the sun.And the panic & hilarity when you walked into the expos like Godzilla reaching Tokyo.ARRRRR!
Thanx to you and Ozzy for helping me out and putting some much needed oomph into tattooing in the 90s and beyond.Lots of people are going to find the world a bit too quiet now.Best to all the crew.
