I visited Gary's grave today, and laid a lovely wreath, as it was 7 years ago yesterday 15th September 2016 that he passed away peacefully at home with me by his side. Gary would have been 70 years of age on his last birthday 20th July 2023. I still think of him every day and the happy 17 years we shared together. I keep a photograph of Gary and I above my computer. It was taken on one of our holidays abroad together we both look so happy. I believe people we love who have passed, away always remain in our thoughts and heart and out of the blue they just pop into our minds and hearts. Thus they are never forgotten by the people who love them and miss them. As well as Gary, My Mother, Father and Sister Mary always pop into my mind and I smile at the memory I have of them all it give me great comfort.

I visited Gary's grave recently and left a bunch of yellow roses. As I usually do when I visit his grave I talk to him to let him know how I am getting on. I informed him that I am retiring from nursing this November. I began my nursing career in 1975, my how time flies. I know Gary will be glad to hear this.

I visited Gary's grave today and laid a bunch of flowers. I let him know that all our friends were present at the Point to point races on Saturday. I always chat to him to let him know I am keeping well. Whilst I was there I laid a flower on his parents grave, which is not far from Gary's. I always ask them to look after their son.

I was at the point to point racing Day out with all my usual friends. The weather was a bit cold however the company more than made up for this. it was as usual a great day out. The only person missing was Gary. It was nice talking to friends as they all new Gary and it is nice that they can openly talk about Gary and past memories.

My sister and Brother in-law David came over from Ireland and went to Murrayfield last Sunday to watch the Scotland and Ireland Six Nations Rugby. David being Irish was obviously supporting Ireland, my sister being Scottish was supporting Scotland. It was a good game I watched it myself with Gary's framed photo placed on his favourite chair in front of the TV. My sister and Gary always got on like a house on fire and we visited them in Ireland many a time over the years in the past, prior to Gary's passing. Ireland were the favorite's to win the Six Nations. Still I will stay positive that perhaps they may achieve this next year.

Hello Gary the thing about living on your own since the passing of a partner ( you 17 years ago) /husband/wife is that, life teachers you that sometimes you do not know who to trust in life. That not only involves family members but also people you work with. What I loved about you was that you listened to me when I was troubled as I did with you, and we both supported each other and understood the problems of life and worked through them. I am heartbroken Gary that having such an understanding of each other that you were taken away from me so suddenly. Only God knows why. Miss you every minute of the day.

Scotland and France Rugby Match. As they say 'close and yet so near'. What a great game. Scotland did so well, alas I can not take it away from France. Before the game I was out cutting a tree, in my front garden and 2 older women stopped to talk to me. I informed them that I was about to go inside and watch the Rugby, they informed me that they were rushing home to watch the football. Celtic and Rangers. I had no idea that they were playing a game today. I suppose that as far as football goes I was never brought up to watch football. My Father was the type of person who brought his 7 daughters up to know nothing about football especially the rivalry between these two teams. The thing I love about Rugby, since Gary introduced me to the game and the rules is that the teams are about competing against a country nothing else.

Tricia. Gary's loving Partner, Loving you still.

It won't be long till Scotland Play France in the Six Nations Rugby this afternoon. I own a signed Framed Scotland Rugby shirt, signed by all the players who played France in February 2006. Scotland won that match. The framed shirt takes pride of place in my computer room. It brings back great memories of Gary and I watching the Six Nations Rugby League every year Gary and I had together before his untimely passing. I will keep my fingers crossed Scotland win. I know Gary will be watching it as well from above.
