I’ve started typing many times, but have felt too incredibly sad and unable to express myself to do any sort of justice to that lovely man who is Alan and, given I last saw him aged 17, having gone through primary and secondary school, (not to mention that good old institution that was Red’ill Tech); that says a lot about how he managed to touch so many hundreds of people’s lives. I had the privilege of getting back in contact via Facebook and his instant kindness helped me through my own traumatic time. I feel so desperately devastated for his wonderful family, whom I’ve never met, but oh how so obvious the bond, the love, the fun, the laughter is. All I can say to you, ‘Team Webb’, is I can totally and absolutely promise you, Alan will live on through you all. Every person he has touched will carry a special memory, think of him at poignant times and raise a glass or two and that will bring you comfort. He will never be forgotten and you get keep him safe, treasure him within you and hold him forever, how he was, in your hearts. ❤️

So sorry to hear of the shock passing of Alan my heart goes out to all of you. I grew up with Alan on Rough Rew and remember fondly our quick games of football opposite Ian’s house before walking to school. I saw Alan a couple of years ago after 40 yrs was great to reminisce with him a really nice guy my condolences to all his family and friends. x

So shocked and saddened; thank you for the many memories throughout my childhood. Can only imagine how Di, Sophie, Chloe, Amy and Tash are feeling, as well as the rest of the family.
May you now be at peace.

We were devastated to hear the sad news of Alan’s untimely death. He was completely devoted to his family, a very loving husband to Di and a dedicated father to his girls who he adored and would always put first whatever else was going on. He had a warm sense of humour and always made light of any troubles he had. He was a great friend who always wished everyone well. He will be sorely missed but will never be forgotten. Thank you Alan for the many years of friendship. May you now rest in Peace. Our condolences go out to all of your wonderful family. Love from the Simmers family

Such sad news! Alan was a good friend to so many people. We will remember the Sondes & Sainsbury’s days, always a smile on his face & a funny story or joke to share. Alan you were one of a kind even then in the good old teenage years. You are going to be so sadly missed, but wonderfully remembered.
