Dear Jacqui, you never once missed a birthday or the opportunity to send one of your beautifully-crafted cards each one more heartfelt than the last - there have been so many over the years and I feel so lucky to have had someone like you looking out for me at every step of my journey through life. You possessed every good quality that a person could have, but above all, you were one of the most thoughtful and caring people ever put on this earth. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Sam xxx

Dear Jacqui. Are you as bewildered as we are. We shall miss your letters, notes and the odd phone call with news of your cats antics and Philips motor bike 'problems'. Every Christmas and Easter news and the gifts you kindly would send to our grandchildren, here and in Australia. We will keep in touch with Philip for further news. To my dear brother Philip and Jacquelyn's family - we were so deeply saddened and sorry to hear the news of your sudden loss. Just heartbroken. I have so many lovely memories of Jacqui - how she would look after us when we came to visit from Australia and surprise us with a packed lunch of cheese and onion sandwiches when we left, the cards she always sent which I will miss especially at Easter, the photos she took and would send to me in Australia, especially of my mum and dad as she knew I would be missing them. Dear Jaqui. You were taken from this life far too soon, you had so much to give. We only saw you and Philip for a few days each year on your visits to The Potteries, but it was such a pleasure to see you, you always arrived with a big smile and hugs. After your visits you always remembered to send us a thank you card/letter showing how nice it was to visit in your own funny sense of humour, on reading you made us laugh. At Christmas we looked forward to receiving a letter telling us what goodies you had bought with our M&S 'Dine in for Two' voucher that we sent. As with Philip you were our Cousin. Jacquelyn and her Mum, Ann, were the first people to visit my Mum in Guildford Hospital when I was born... and remained a wonderful friend to my Mum for over 50 years, even after her move to Australia. I had the privilege of being able to take the day off work when Jacqui and Philip last came to visit us and spend the day with them... of course - it was a day of laughter and astute observation as were all the days Jacqui touched. Remembering an olde soul.

I cannot express how sad I feel to learn of Jacqui's death. She gave so much love and support to people, always remembering their news and sending wonderful messages. Jacqui was one of life's special people and I'm so glad I knew her. XXX
