So lovely to see a photograph of Robert after all this time, but sad that it is under these circumstances. To mirror what many have said, Robert was truly an inspirational man. He taught us about human rights, slavery and charities such as Amnesty International. Robert wasn't afraid to do things differently, which is what made us all adore his lessons. In his own time, Robert took a group of us to London. He hired a mini bus and drove us down, arranged for us to stay in a hostel and took us on outings to landmarks and museums. He wanted to open our eyes and give us real life experiences. At this stage in my life I had only been to London once on a day trip before. He also took us to places of worship. One trip to a local mosque enabled us to meet those from a different culture and share food and drink together. He valued diversity and equality and was keen to share this with his students.
I often think of Robert. He is someone that takes a place in your heart and will never leave it. So sorry to his family and friends for such a loss.
