It is with great sadness I learned of the passing of my onetime close friend, Corrina. We became friends through an improv class at Jackson's Lane in Highgate, London. She played a role in a party scene of the first film I worked on, "Thirty", by Lance Nielsen.
In 1999, Corrina, Johnny, Claire and I who had all worked on the film together, took a trip to the film festival in Cannes where Corrina had an awesome time watching red carpet premieres and partying with celebs from Sylvester Stallone to Goldie, to Spike Lee, John Leguziamo, Mira Sorvino, Stephen Daldry and Dennis Rodman - all while staying in a small tent at the local campsite. I had to lend her a bikini because she'd forgotten hers, and we enjoyed life on the French Riviera on a budget and without a smartphone.
Friends she made in Cannes included Kemal, Robin and many others whom she stayed in contact with over the years. Corrina' s acting ambitions led her to take an acting course at a controversial academy, and brought her onto a reality TV programme about models turned actors.
She discovered her passion for spiritual themes and made a new set of friends.
We all have such fond memories of Corrina and will miss her greatly.
