Uncle alan

How blessed I feel to have shared so many wonderful dates with you. From cheesecake to cheeseboards to your rabbit starter , we really did hunt out the best places to dine across Northumberland .
Introducing me to Catherine Cookson, telling me stories of your past , The countries you’ve seen the poeple you’ve met & how you made me laugh when you mentioned Australia. You had a heart of gold ever so kind and would always say thank you to me even when you had dementia thank you would always come still. I always thanked you right back for being you and what you brought to me as a person and rightly so. Thank you for being my friend - Thank you for being you - thank you for showing me what a real gentleman is and Thank you for the love we share . I truly will miss and love you forever - I will play our music and go to the places we went and smile through tears knowing your now back with the love of your life our beautiful Aunty Sylvia - your lady. ♥๏ธ May you both enjoy being reunited at a lost . I’ll never forget you both - see yous when I get there ๐Ÿ’•๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ’™xxx.

Well dad what can I say, you thought to the bitter end, and tough as old boots lol!
What can I say about you, everyone can say they had the perfect family, but we were truly blessed with ours. We had the most beautiful, amazing Angel, as our mam, but you were the Lion of the pack! You were proud of your family, and protected them with your life!! You wore your heart on your sleeve, and said it how it was.
You lost the love of your life, about 10 years ago, and we know how hard that was you and us, but your back in mams arms now. We are so happy about this, but don't get me wrong, our hearts break for you both.
We were robbed of the last five years of your life, through dementia, but the blessing we have now, is that your back to being Alan, we got our dad back, who was truly an amazing, loving proud man, and I was proud to call dad.
So rejoice in the next path of your journey, embrace our mam, give her a kiss from us all. Until we meet again, I will miss and Love you all my life xx

What a life you lived Grandad, not only did you marry the woman of your dreams, you did it twice! You wore your heart on your sleeve and had the biggest fighters mentality which is why you lived so long with your dementia.

I'm grateful for all our time together, our family is renowned for our competitiveness and it's something you certainly had. You weren't the most gracious in victory or defeat but that was just part of your charm lol. If you won you would tease and if you lost, it was fixed ๐Ÿคฃ.

The Fields of Athenry will never be the same and every time I have a JD and coke or an Irish Coffee I'll think of you.

I'm so happy you got to meet my son Frankie, and get to hold him and play with him. I know you'll tell my grandma all about him.

I'm so glad you are back with Grandma, I have no doubt you will be the party hosts. Dominos, bingo, cards and the horse racing. Everyone in heaven will hear you both debate with each other and you will have every angel in stitches at your antics.

I love you loads Grandad, rest easy
