He was a brilliant and inspirational teacher.

Dear Pete. You were a rebel, a peacemaker, an educator and a friend. Your words live on in your students, and in me as your friend. I will miss the nights in the French House, the chats about Harold Pinter and Irvine Welsh, and your deeply held beliefs and dedication to education for all. There will be no one quite like you again.

You were a total inspiration Pete and the best company. I hope you carry the revolution over to the next world

Peter was a principled, dignified and humble man. He was also a great teacher for those who tried to build their life. He was a revolutionary socialist, trade unionist and fighter for justice, equality and fairness. We lost a comrade, friend and colleague. We will miss him sorely. Rest in solidarity you giant gentleman.
