RIP Sister Mary Magdalene, headmistress and trailblazer from Matermisericordiae to Maricourt. A woman ahead of her times who quietly and consistently allowed young girls to flourish and develop minds and characters of their own long before it became the fashion. Thank you 'Madge' for all you did on behalf of all your pupils and particularly the Bootle girls. Remembered with fondness and gratitude.

Thank you Sister Mary Magdalen for all your years of devotion and hard work as our Headmistress at Mater Misericordiae from 1964-1969. You were a gentle, caring, strong leader and a great example to us all in our formative years, as you helped mold us into the strong adults we later became. Rest In Peace.
