My brother Michael
Memories
I came into your life 60 years ago. You became a big brother to a new baby sister, who nearly didn't make it.
You tormented me from as far back as I can remember.
You made me a Ferris wheel out of Meccano to carry my dolls - the same dolls whose fingers you chewed off!
You used to lock me in the airing cupboard telling me "it's ok, see how long you can stay in there" 🥴🥴
You took me for rides on motorbikes, even in my Corpus Christi dress - mama wasn't happy with the oil on my socks!!
When mama was out shopping you would get the phone book and ring people with unusual names eg: "hello, is that Mr Shilling, this is Mr Sixpence"! 🙂
You borrowed my cars and gave them back with no petrol.
You put my baby's cot together.
You took me to the Grand Prix.
You took me in your 16 wheel lorry and let me change the gears.
We had Saturday morning breakfasts and chewed the fat.
You made me laugh you made me cry.
I loved you and I know you loved me, we didn't need to say it.
A lifetime of memories.
A year has passed and all there is, is memories and a heart that aches and longs to hear your voice again. I know that can't be, so I choose to go forward and smile and rejoice that you were here!
I hope you're roaming the heavens riding the horses and motorbikes you so loved in life 🙏
