The world will be a duller Place with out u in it , Grandad , but one thing is for certain nannas world will be a whole lot brighter now your in her arms. I will never forget u , and ever forgot everything u did with me . From our early morning shredded wheat , to helping with the electric blankets , The time we climbed down the cliffs at reighton sands , and the long walk along the cliffs where u told me , how u drove the trains along them. And explained why all the turrets was scattered along the cliffs . Im sorry for when I said stitch that grandad , But that was uncle Stephen’s fault I think lol. I don’t think it has sunk in just yet. I still think you are round the corner sat in your chair, watching your snooker! I can still hear your infectious laugh whenever dad finds something funny or when there’s a rugby decision on the telly and he shakes his head and tuts... he sounds just like you.
I hope you are dancing with Nana Mac and I know you’ll be happy in her arms again, with Uncle John beside you.
I will love you forever Gramps and my heart breaks that I won’t see that smile again, or hear those jokes and confident talks about my goals in life. I know that all of what you gave to me, will be with me always. I promise, I’ll make sure I’m the last at the parties, just like you always were but I can’t promise I’ll drink a Guinness because I only tried it the once and I’ll never try it again. I will have a shot of whiskey though, just like we did!
You were a special man, with the biggest heart and what an honour to call you my grandad and know that I was one of your granddaughters, in the loving family we have.
I know you met some of your Great Grandchildren, but just know when I have my own children, they will know who their great grandad Mac was.
A true gentleman.
I will miss you every day!
See you in that bright shining star🌟
