I was really shocked when I heard the passing of Helen. We used work together back in 2007. Always had smile on her face. Still hard to believe that Helen is gone.

I am very sorry to hear this news. Helen was truly a fantastic person. I worked with her at Birmingham City Council way back in 2007. I remember her utter dedication to helping those less well off in society. She genuinely cared about people. She was very well respected. My sincere condolences to her family especially Eloise. May she rest in peace xx

Helen really was one of a kind. I first met her around five years ago when she was working in adult safeguarding and I was working for a homelessness charity. I immediately recognised a fellow champion of social justice and we formed a strong alliance over the next few years. I learnt so much from Helen; about how to be a better professional but, more importantly, about how to be a better person. She did so much to champion the rights of the marginalised and was a truly beautiful spirit. I still can’t believe she’s gone but I am thankful every day the world had her for the time that it did. Rest well, Helen. We love you x

I am going to miss Helen so, so much. I rarely got to see her but she was part of my life for almost 30 years and a very beloved friend. My heart hurts for the loss that her family are feeling. Loving thoughts are with you.
