Thank you for generously sharing him with the rest of us, we appreciate it more than you could ever know. I'm 61, and I have been hooked since the very first time I heard "Eruption". No guitarist before or since Eddie has ever given me goosebumps the way his playing can! He's magical, mesmerizing, and so passionate, just as I imagine he must have been.

Dear, Van Halen family and friends. Even though I didn't know Edward personally, I feel I lost a huge part of me, he has been a part of my life since I was a kid...I am so sorry for your loss, I to have lost a lot of family from cancer You all are in my hearts and prayers .

He was guitar genius. I've never met the man but I feel a big void in my soul. The first time I heard him play I was 11 and was blown away. There will never be another one like him. He was a master of his craft. Rock the hell out of heaven brother. R.I.P. Mr. Van Halen you will be truly missed.
