Uncle Colin was a wonderful and caring man with a huge love for his family which shined. Loved hearing all my dads memories involving Colin and can tell he held a special place in everyone’s hearts including my own. A wonderful father, husband, family member and friend to many I’m sure. You will be greatly missed uncle Colin and my thoughts and love are with Joy, Linda and everyone who knew Colin. Rest in peace and lots of love. - Phoebe xx

It's hard to know where to start talking about my uncle Colin. When I was little I thought he was quiet and shy but as I got older I learnt he just knew the value of words and when he spoke it was always worth listening to, either because he had something wise to say or a wise crack that was funny.

When I was younger I thought he was always so serious and stern but then we went on a trip to France to see my grandparents and I saw him laugh so hard at me and my sister playing with these little boats on the lake that he literally fell over in the sand!

Watching his face during my auntie Linda's wedding I thought his chest would literally burst with pride!

When I told him I was going to university, he told me that he needed to give me some important advice, I was ready to listen, eager for his sincere wisdom, he tells me - "never trust a guy who tries to get you drunk". Not exactly academic but also he wasn't wrong!

The world has truly lost a gem of a man but I know that through the lives he has touched his wisdom and love will live on in us all x x

Rest in Peace Uncle Colin. So many fond memories: his fabulous old Daimler, giving us rides in a prototype sports car, camping in France, building us kites, flying his own kite up in to the stratosphere at West Wittering beach (I’d have taken off had he not held me down), to mention but a few. He was an inspirational person who always took interest in what others liked doing and would seek to help and support them with it. You will be missed. Much Love from Paul, Michelle, Tania, Chloe and Gemma xxx

Rest in Peace Uncle Colin. We will treasure all the wonderful memories of spending time with you and all the family on holidays etc. Colin, Joy and Linda drove all the way to Southern Spain in their old Daimler over the Pyrenees where we all shared a small villa. A brilliant engineer, Colin was passionate about cars and passed on his skills to Linda, his beloved daughter. He had great patience, something I experience many times during our driving lessons! At the age of 13 he let me drive the first edition Range Rover around the paddock at our Grandparents cottage (my Dad looked on with concern from the back seat!). Colin tuned the engine in my first car (Alpha Sud) and also took me to the Goodwood circuit to demonstrate the power of the Rover V8! He wheel span the tyres from 1st gear from to 3rd gear from stationary!! Loved it.
Will be missed by all Colin but memories live on.

Great memories of Colin from many., many years ago when I lived next door. His engineering skills were often available to me when trying to fix my old Morris Minor. Unlike me, Colin was a highly skilled mechanic. Love to Joy and Linda.

We have many happy memories.
The trip to Spain when we were young,
