Once again, my brother Keith and I would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation to everyone that attended the service in honour of our Dear Mother Yvonne (Gran) Small. On behalf of the family we “Thank You” for all of your tributes, cards and donations (Anthony Nolan Fund). I’d like to thank all of our friends and family members that came through on the day and helped make the day truly a wonderful memorial. Wendy sang her heart out and some cried our eyes out but hopefully we all have fond memories that we can share with one another. Dear Mum, We all love you very much and know that you’re good where you are now. Catching up with all of your old friends and family that got there before you, say “hello” for us Ma, let them know that: You’ll Never Cross Our Minds, You’ll Just Stay There All of the Time!
Mum wouldn’t want anyone to feel guilty or beat themselves up because they didn’t get to see her or couldn’t attend. Please don’t be offended that we couldn’t contact you all but it has been a very difficult time and we’ve witnessed the love and support that you all have afforded us. This is a testament to Mums outlook on life. She looked for the simple things she loved in everyone and focused on the positive. So I guess She’d say, 🎵“Reach out and touch somebody’s hand, make this world a better place if you can”🎶
Finally, we ask that you give us time to acclimatise and reenergise ourselves in order to respond to your overwhelming tributes, messages and calls, they’ll all be answered in due course. Thank you all, Keith, Tariq & Family
