Dearest Dad, 
As I write this, I know words cannot begin to express the emptiness we all feel.  So many things I will miss but mostly, I will miss the feeling of being cared for and understood even when very few words were being spoken.  I have so much gratitude for all that you have done...so many things I want to thank you for.  My life journey in this country has been easier because of you and mom, and so thank you for welcoming me into your heart and treating me as one of your own from day one.  Thank you for raising your son to be the man that he is and thank you for loving Brandon in the special way that you did; showing him what it takes to be a true gentleman, a man of integrity, pride and warmth. Most of all, thank you for giving me the honor to call you DAD.
