I've tried to figure out how to pay tribute to one of the best people I've ever met. In reality, though, there is no way to summarize in a few words his kindness, his joy, his light, his thoughtfulness, his ability to learn and explore with joy, and, naturally, his love. I was 12 when I met him, and it was a life changing experience. Thank you, my friend, for simply being my friend, and for showing me a beautiful example of how to live a generous, worthy life. I can't wait to see you again. I pray that Maggie and his whole family are able to find some comfort in this very hard time.
