Taken far too soon. Rest in peace.

I’ve only had the privilege of meeting Nigel a few times, a kind gentle man with wisdom in his eyes. Our Daughter Phoebe was a very cautious toddler and clingy when meeting her people, however on that day we met our extended family she took an instant shine to Nigel. She sat with him, chatted with him and even shared her beloved bunny with him ( which was unheard of and still hasn’t happened again to this day) I remember thinking how intuitive children were, she knew he was one of the good souls. Phoebe continued to talk about Nigel for months afterwards, he definitely left a lasting impression! I wish now I could have let him know that. It was very sweet but I hope in some way he can hear it now. Wishing you peaceful tranquillity Nigel, love Ross, Kelly and your biggest fan Phoebe xxx

I only got to meet Nigel a handful of times, but I wish it had been many more, he was always a pleasure to be around. I’m very sorry to hear of his passing, my love and thoughts with all the family. X

Nigel - a colleague, mentor and ultimately a friend to both myself and Ewa. A true gentleman in every sense of the word, with a smile that lit up the world. You will be sorely missed Jay, Ewa and Maia.

Hi Maggie.
You don't know me as we have never met but I wanted to share a memory with you as Nigel's cousin. As a 20 year old in 1970, I lost my mother. I was totally devastated as you can imagine.
It was decided that I should get away and my father took me to Tetford to stay well away from everybody and everything. Aunty Mary and my mother had a great affinity as they both suffered from asthma. They loved each other. Nigel was a baby and despite all the difficulties, Mary made me very welcome.
I have met Nigel several times since and I remember him as a typical Waters. Kind and loving just like his remarkable dad.
My dad and I travelled from South Wales to go to Uncle Tom's funeral in Norfolk.
So many memories. So sad and so young.
Bless you.
I haven't contacted aunty Mary yet. She must be so frail now..
Thinking of you at this very sad time.

The daughter of Patrick Waters. ( The oldest in the family)

I had the great privilege of working with Nigel a few years ago. He was great having him in the team, he always had a smile and was happy to talk at any time, however busy he was. We were all very sad when he decided to leave as he was moving to Cardiff. Rest in peace Nigel. Raquel
