Dear Allan – My “cousin-in-law” - I first met you when visiting UK with my mum – Maisie – around the time of Ciara’s christening. I remember your warmth and humor very well. Then later, when I went back to UK around the time of Mandy & Rev’s wedding, I got a clearer idea how generous and easy to spend time with you were. You and Anne picked me up at Heathrow and we ran around London on the pop-on-pop-off tour bus. We even got to wave at the Queen that day. I stayed at your lovely home where you were endlessly genial and tolerant of all manner of inconveniences. I thought surely we’d be visiting at each other’s homes in the future. Sadly, no, that didn’t happen. My heart goes out to all your dear ones who, though they are left, I am sure, with many precious memories, have to carry on now without the encouragement of your presence. Allan Daniels, I hold you and them in my thoughts and feel grateful for having a chance to know you just a little. Imelda Daley Dec 2, 2020
