My thoughts are with all of Claudes lovely family. I have known Claude since I was a young child from going down the stoke Coventry club with my family. He was a massive part of the club, one of the "legends" I would say. He was always sat with a smile on his face and was such a friendly man. He will be greatly missed by many. Rest in peace Claude. Where to start. I can honestly say I have never Mat a more forthright and genuine person. Claude’s personality, graciousness and wit would charm anyone that met him. A great ambassador for our great sport of Crown Green Bowls, he was always willing to put back into the game he loved. He was a very good bowler and proud of his club and county. Great company. Who will ever forget his rendition of Albert and The Lion? Wonderful County trips and singing on the bus with his Mukka Pete Adams. Rock Island Line being a favourite of mine.
Rest In Peace Claude. You were certainly one of the best in so many ways.
