You epitomised what life in the armed forces was and is, and it showed in your determination to see tasks through to completion. Having been in the armed forces myself for 24 years It didn't really surprise me of your achievements, because that is the way we are. Well done Tom, you really deserve the accolades you received.Rest in peace my friend and sleep peacefully. David.

THE MAN who gave his all as a young man fighting a world war, then to give the rest of his life to help others. Sir Tom's greatest moment was his one hundred laps of his garden at his age, yet again in the help of others the NHS who in turn are doing a totally thankless job sadly where Sir Tom ends his.
