Captain Tom was such an inspiration to so many, yet he was such a humble gentleman. He was a true Yorkshireman and I’m very proud that he grew up and went to school very close to where I and my family live near Keighley.
You helped us all when we needed a light in the gloom, and for everything you’ve done we thank you Sir. You are a Star -️

Never met Captain Sir Tom, but this man proved to be a true inspiration to me, my family and the vast majority of the nation. His fortitude in completing his 100 laps before his birthday gripped us all as much as watching man land on the moon in 1969.
His last year should be remembered and celebrated by the nation at an appropriate time.

What very sad news to here that captain Tom as sadly passed away. I never knew Tom myself but I feel very sad knowing him and what he as shown and done for the NHS.. I send all my love to his family and friends and I was myself gutted when I heard that he had passed away. So sad, great man as well. He always be memberd by everyone. R.i.p.
