Derek you were my older 'hero' cousin who had the motorbikes and cars first paving the way for me
Sorry I wrecked first gear on your Morris minor

Derek, all of your colleagues in London, especially me, cannot thank you enough for the years of service and support that you gave to us to help keep our nation safe. You will be sadly missed by us all and life on the mezzanine will never be the same.
Personally, as your friend, I will miss the working lunches that we enjoyed so much, especially when you had to drive us through a flooded Tonbridge to get us to the restaurant that we desired, I'm sure that the water was almost as high as your bonnet!! It's incredibly sad to think that I will never spend time in your company again, I miss you very much. Thank you for being a very good friend, lots of love Andy x

Derek, you were a light that shone in this world, and now that light shines on in the lives of those that new you.
