Hi Dad, I can't believe you've been gone for a whole month already. We all miss you so so much, but can take some comfort knowing that you're at peace now. It's been an eventful month so I thought I'd update you with what has been happening.
We finally made it to Gibside for a lovely walk. The girls enjoyed playing 'Springo', looking and listening out for spring sights and noises, like lambs bleating. They also had a huge amount of fun at the amazing park there - now I know what you and Mam were talking about! We'll definitely be going back.
Chloe has been given a chance at trying out for the competitive gymnastics team at her club which she's so excited about. She's also been practising hard and has just earned her badge 4 this weekend! She's doing great with her swimming classes too, which just restarted 2 weeks ago.
Both girls have had the most amazing, glowing reports from their teachers for parents' evening. I know how proud you would be of them.
I'm working new hours now so I can pick the girls up from school every day, which I love being able to do. I've faltered lately with my portfolio work, but after some soul-searching I've decided that I want to carry on making you proud, so I will push on and get it submitted....eventually!
Andrew is getting on really well with his new job. He's been working hard, learning lots, and hasn't looked back. He's befriended the wood pigeons, spuggies and starlings that come into our garden for food...I think his new working environment is much more relaxing than the old one!
Last weekend the weather was quite nice so we finally started building the fantastic swing/trapeze set you and Mam got for the girls for Christmas. We definitely missed your guidance but hope you'll be pleased with the final outcome when we get it finished and anchored to the ground (hopefully tomorrow). You'll be glad to know that Mam kept us right, and if we got into a pickle we just had to think 'What would Dad do?'.
