One year since your funeral and it doesnt get easier, even though i was just a student of yours you impacted me in ways i can never explain, you were more than just a lecturer, you were a friend, someone that really cared for all of his students and i know how many students cared for you. You are missed dearly my friend Rob Shaw.

I was lucky enough to meet Bob at the Sixth Form College in 1975 - after which we became close friends - certainly one of the kindest and funniest people that I have ever met - rest in peace mate - I’ll never forget you. .
