Uncle Dave, you were much loved by those who knew you. You followed our sporting endeavours and we followed your secret spying missions to foreign countries. I guess we will never actually know who you were saving and what you were protecting in your missions but will always be one of the first memories that will make me smile. When I started my home-care job, I didn’t really take to it. Meeting someone like you David made it worthwhile. I shall miss you, your sense of humour, me shaving you badly, and you taking revenge by getting me covered in water in the shower! May you rest in peace.

Thank you for all of your kindness, guidance and words of wisdom over the past 29 years. It has helped to shape me into the man I’ve become.
