As well as a great father, brother and cousin, Ray was an absolutely top notch union man. As a shop steward he stuck up for, and gave a voice to his colleagues. This never makes your own working life easy, and you become a target for managers. Strong trade unionists like Ray make everyone else's working life easier. He never let them grind him down. He will be sorely missed.

Gone way too early, but will never be forgotten.
