Dave was such a support for me at Clayesmore. As a fellow teacher he was always there with superb guidance, as was Helen. A true schoolmaster in ever sense of the word, cared deeply about his pupils and was clearly a loving husband and father. X

Dave was my oldest friend (over 50 years) and, although we lived hundreds, often thousands, of miles away, when we got together it was as if we had never been apart. He will be dearly missed.
