Well known and loved in our community.

An absolute legend. No other word describes him better. It was my great privilege to have been taught by him in the '70s and to have spoken with him a few weeks before his death.
A fair minded man who believed in his vocation. And it showed. RIP Mr Bishop. One of my favourite teachers.

With love,respect to a true gentleman who I was privileged to call my friend.Roy was my sports master 1974-78 then in 84 I got my first job as caretaker at rose hill and st James schools you then became my work colleague then I understood you more the care dedication and trust you put into your job and into every pupil you came across. Absolute legend. Was my teacher in the early 1970s and I have never forgotten how he shaped the way I saw and interacted with the world around me. RIP Mr Bishop. You will forever live in my memory and I will always be grateful that you were part of my life.
