Emma. Daughter. Friend. Wife. Mum.
All round enthusiastic person, positive,
one of the good ones, a real keeper.
I remember your first kindness oh so well,
me, clueless, who didn’t know the way. You were so well versed in all things baby, In awe of your knowledge and what you had to say.
A friendship forged over feeding, sleeping, leaping, teething. A shared journey of muddling through and hoping for the best.
A mum of boys, comparative notes were shared, agreements in whats best, you always cared, always listened, always.
Happy to see you in the mornings, the face I look for in the playground, shared stories of sleepless nights, and tempers in all their glories. Play dates aplenty, cups of tea always flowing. And then things were looking good a glass of wine, or two.
Thank you Emma for being you, thank you for being my friend. I will miss you dearly. And although my heart feels heavy, I will remember you always and when a beautiful daffodil pops up I will remember your smile, and I will smile too.
