I cannot quite believe that you are no longer here Merv. You rescued me from a life as a commercial property lawyer when I was a trainee 25 years ago. I learnt so much from you and had the privilege to help so many families with you. We had some crazy times as well and I have so many “Merv stories” and memories that I will cherish forever. You were like a father figure to me, albeit you liked to think we were the same age! Will miss the Fudge dearly and will never, ever forget you xxx

Great Solicitor who probably saved many baby's lives with his dogged determination to get a public enquiry into the Bristol Children's hospital scandal- can't thank him enough for the justice that came out of this for dozens of bereaved families.

Gutted! Top man, top chap, top friend, top company, top Solicitor, top partner, miss you massively already, some things I will never do again now because they just won't be the same without the Fudge!

We’ll Merv you will be sorely missed. Great golfer, great rugby player, great personality but most of all a chap who knew right from wrong and stood up for it. I shall miss our chats over a Guinness or two, sleep well my old pal.
