I cannot believe how I feel. Unhappy. Cannot listen to his voice or music. I know in time that will change and once again I will smile and listen.
Such a big part of my life gone but not forgotten.
To all Steve's family and friends I feel for you. My heart is broken and the words from the songs I love go round in my head. I miss you.

I travelled all the way from Manchester to see Steve at Crystal Palace Bowl on 7 June 1975. I was 18. It was a hot day and people were cooling-off in the lake but they wouldn’t get out before Cockney Rebel’s set, so some effects couldn’t be used. I was so cross I wrote to one of the music papers who’d criticised Steve for this. To my surprise, they printed my letter! Sadly, I don’t have it anymore. You rocked my world in that red bowler hat. Gone too soon but I’ll never forget you, Steve.
