Very sorry to hear the sad news about Stuart. I have not seen him for many years since the days he hung about with Mike Pem, but he was a lovely man. Sending my sincere condolences. Louise Le-Saint.

Dear Alison, Our thoughts are with you, Laura & Joseph. The tributes from colleagues and patients say it all. We remember Birty with great fondness from those wonderful times we spent as junior surgical trainees at York District Hospital. The world will be a lesser place without him.

I had the pleasure of being his nhs co-ordinator for over 8 years! Many fun clinics we had together and jelly babies were always my bribery technique for any over bookings on clinic! SJB you will be greatly missed at GH xx Nicola
