Ian MusgraveTHOMPSONIan unexpectedly died in his sleep on 6 June 2020, surrounded by his family, aged 53 years. He was the much loved husband of Sally, father to Sam, Emily and Max, son of Anne and the late Geoffrey Thompson, and brother to Helen. Whilst also being a son in law, brother in law, uncle, nephew and friend, he was a Governor at the Pride Park Academy, scouting District Chairman, Forest Schooling Practitioner, former practising Solicitor, Charity founder, loyal member of Derby Rugby Club and member of Round Table. He will be greatly missed by all his friends, family, associates and colleagues. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, a limited celebration of his life will be held at Trent Valley Crematorium, Aston on Trent, on Friday 10 July 2020 at 1.30pm. All friends and family are welcome to attend the crematorium grounds during the service, whilst adhering to social distancing guidelines and the crematorium's rules, and will be able to stream the service live from their mobile devices. A party will be held afterwards, from 3pm onwards at Derby Rugby Club, providing that Government restrictions have been reduced sufficiently. All friends, family, associates and colleagues are welcome to join the family for the event, to share a drink in his memory. Please limit flowers to family only, but instead make any kind donations to the Derby Autistic Fundraising Group, a charity which Ian, and his wife Sally, founded and grew over the past 10 years. Please send any donations and make any enquiries to George Simnett Family Funeral Directors 77 Sitwell Street, Spondon, Derby, DE21 7FH. Telephone: 01332 661195.
