Dear James, I remember many fabulously fun childhood family holidays, exploring new holiday homes, being chased by dragonflies and cows, inventing games, rock climbing & getting stuck, getting lost on the beaches and writing a huge ‘SOS’ in the sand so we could be found, helping the farmers get their sheep in, watching them being sheared, pretending to be Spider-Men and waiting for the ‘Aunty Maureen car’ to come round the corner when you were coming to visit. We bumped into each other once or twice after we grew up. My regret isn’t that we didn’t know each other in adulthood, I think we could’ve been great friends. But I cherish my childhood memories of you and I will never forget you. Rest in peace old friend.
