John RobertHILL ((Rob))(Rob) Of Derby. Passed away at home on 17th October 2021, aged 56 years. Born in Heanor. Robert attended Aldercar School and Warwick University. He spent all his working life at Rolls Royce Derby, where he was a design engineer. He was a keen sports man, enjoying golf, skiing, cycling and walking and was a member of the Butterley Miniature Railway Club. Dearly loved Husband of Joanne, Eldest Son of Dorothy and the late Edwin Hill, Brother to David and Partner Kim, plus many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. The Funeral Service will take place at Amber Valley Crematorium, Swanwick on Friday 29th October 2021 at 10am. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Robert will go to Treetops Hospice, www.treetopshospice.org.uk The Funeral Directors are Murray's, 25 Main St, Derby. Tel: 01332 425022

I'm shocked and very hurt by this news...Rob was a tremendous engineer who I worked closely with on Non-conformance and recently on the UltraFan engine. He always thought outside the box and thanks to him we managed to get one of his concepts onto that very Demo engine. He will be missed and we are very sorry to hear this news - from everyone at PTS WP5 UltraFan PTS/S&T team. Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult period :( . RIP Rob
