John GilbertEASTERDied on the 17th January 2021 aged 84 years. Much loved husband of the late Janet, dad to Matthew and Sarah, father in law of Debra and Robert, loved brother, uncle, friend and a hugely adored 'Grandad Egg' to Jacob, Hannah, Isobel & Alexandra. The centre of John's world was the village of Little Eaton, and he devoted his life to numerous village causes. The village historian, sporting stalwart, 'Mr Little Eaton', and all round 'Good Egg'. A service for John will be held at Markeaton Crematorium on Tuesday 9th February 2021. Due to current restrictions the service will be for close friends and family. John will leave his home at 2pm to be driven round his beloved Little Eaton, passing his adored second home - St Peters Park, on his way to the crematorium. Flowers are welcome or donations to the Derby and Burton Hospital Charity. All enquiries to Co-operative Funeralcare, Birchover Way, Unit 4a Park Farm Centre, Allestree, Derby, DE22 2QN.
