We were very sad to hear the news of Hazel's passing. Have wonderful memories of times at the BP hut with Hazel, and jumble sales at the Hall in Allenton. She was always kind and generous and friendly to everyone. We know she will be sadly missed by many. Deirdre, Paul and family (Burrows)

We were all so sorry to hear that Mum's closest friend and our "Auntie" Hazel has passed away, we have fond memories of a long time back when our parents had bridge nights with Hazel and Sydney, who can forget the homemade wine and the cheese and biscuits! Our thoughts at this time are with Steven, Richard and their families. I have added a photo of Mum and Hazel taken a long time ago, happy times. Beryl sends her love. Stuart, Andrew and Roger Lee. xx

Sincerest condolences from both Brian & Vanessa Neish to the Joseph family. Personally, I'm very sad to hear this news because Hazel was always wonderful with me growing up as one of Richard's closest friends. I will never forget crashing her cheese and wine parties, nor being invited to join the family on holiday to Devon in the summer of 1977 where we had a wonderful time. Our thoughts are with you all. So sad to hear of the passing of Hazel, such a lovely person and a shining example to us all. She was always smiling and constantly working away behind the scenes to support and help the BP organisations at Allenton and Shelton Lock which she continued to do for all her life even after her own 'scouts' were grown men with families of their own. Hazel always inspired with her positive attitude and enthusiasm. Rest in Peace now Hazel.

Mick and I have very fond memories of Hazel. She and her family worked tirelessly to help the scouting family over the years. Her fund raising with St Edmunds B.P. Organisation (now 1st Shelton Lock Scouts and Guides) were a life line in leaner years. She was also President of the organisation until her retirement a few years ago. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed.

Hazel will always be remembered by me as someone who always helped out in the community and of course had a full and active life. The phrase "cheese and wine" immediately comes to my mind when I think about her. Sorry for your loss and may she rest in peace. Thinking of all of her family at this sad time.

I have very fond memories of Hazel and her support and her fund raising efforts for the scouts and guided in Shelton Lock.
Hazel organised the jumble sales at the old church hall in Allenton and it became a tradition to stop for a buffet lunch with some of her home Made wine prior to the sale opening. She continued stopping the group many years after she stepped down as president by supporting the plant sale and stamp and deliver. She was a lovely lady and I know she will be missed by anyone that was fortunate to have met her. Sincere condolences to the family. Rachel Rudd
